The news that Blake Shelton would be quitting "The Voice" following its upcoming 23rd season shocked fans of the singing competition program.

The popular country singer declared on Tuesday that the spring 2023 season, which will air, will be his last.

I've developed enduring friendships with Carson and each and every one of my fellow coaches over the years, including my wife, Gwen Stefani, Shelton continued. The 22nd season of "The Voice" is now airing, and its coaches are Camila Cabello, John Legend, Stefani, and Blake Shelton.

On October 11, all four judges hinted to their participation with cryptic Instagram postings made on both their personal pages and "The Voice's" account.

The Voice coach Horan expressed his excitement in a statement, saying, "I'm thrilled to be joining this season." During our competition with the other teams, I'm excited to get to know and guide the next crop of potential.

Horan was "thrilled" to join "The Voice" family, and Chance the Rapper expressed a similar level of excitement.

Shelton has thrilled audiences with his consistent humor and devotion to his team members since Season One. He has won the competition eight times and has worked with Cassadee Pope and Danielle Bradbery, two country singers. Shelton's music was also made more widely known thanks to the show.

Shelton, Legend, and Cabello joined Stefani on TODAY last month where they discussed her decision to return to the show for the first time since Season 19.

After marrying Shelton last year, the "The Sweet Escape" singer admitted she was a little "nervous" about returning to the panel.

Since I hadn't been there in a while, she admitted that she was a little anxious about returning. We recently got married. You realize that it does change?

Shelton also discussed his role as the show's spokesperson for more than ten years.
