It is a collection of Japanese light novels created by Kurone Mishima and Natsume Akatsuki. The show centres around Kazuma Sat, a little kid who dies and is transported to a fantasy realm with aspects of an MMORPG. There, he joins up with a goddess, an archwizard, and a crusader to create a dysfunctional adventuring party. From December 2012 to October 2013, KonoSuba was serialised as a web novel on Shsetsuka ni Nar. From October 2013 to May 2020, Kadokawa Shoten published KonoSuba as a printed light novel series under the name Kadokawa Sneaker Bunko.
