Masayuki Abe's Tsuyokute New Saga (New Saga Plus, a play on the Japanese word for replay mode) light book series is the source material for an animated television series that will debut in July, according to a teaser promotional video released by ABC Animation on Wednesday.

The setting of the novel is a world devastated by an invasion of demons. With his last bit of strength, Kyle, the main character, defeats the demon king, but he is subsequently transported back in time four years. He makes the most of this second opportunity at life by using the knowledge and lessons from his previous existence to prevent the sad events from occurring again.

The anime stars:

Hiro Shimono as Seran

Minami Takahashi as Sildonia

Yūma Uchida as Kyle

Fairouz Ai as Lise

Asami Seto as Urza

The anime is being directed by Norikazu Ishigooka at Sotsu Co., Ltd., Makaria, and Yokohama Animation Lab (he directed an episode of Midnight Occult Civil Servants). The original animation character designs are being drafted by Nilitsu (Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?, The Executioner and Her Way of Life), with Atsushi Asahi receiving credit for the work. The series screenplays are written by Kenta Ihara, who is also known for the films Full Dive, Saga of Tanya the Evil, and Cautious Hero: The Hero Is Overpowered but Overly Cautious. The soundtrack is being written by Hironori Anazawa (Birdie Wing -Golf Girls' Story-, Scarlet Nexus) and Shach (SOIL&"PIMP"SESSIONS).

Both the manga adaptation by Jun Miura and the Ryta Fuse-illustrated light book series by Abe are published by AlphaPolis. To commemorate the anime news, Fuse and Miura created artwork.
